are you waking? are you in a dream? the copper shades of a morning distant lights beckon and fade unwritten songs of another day

Have you ever stood in a room of people, and felt totally alone? I have.

I hear your voice, As sweet as a rose petal gliding over crystal clear water. Glimmering with the future. Dripping down the side like tears from heaven, Warming the very life that allows me to love. I look into your eyes, Seeing your soul, Seeing your love for the first time. Like the very breath when life was new. I am getting scared as I always will, Like I get when you do that thing you do. You see, I can look into your eyes. But please don't look back. My heart will melt away. Only then will it know, it's you that I lack.

A building gets torched, all that is left is ashes. I used to think that was true about everything. families, friends, feelings, but now I know, that sometimes if love proves real, if two people were meant to be together, nothing can keep them apart
- The Crow

You know the world's gone mad when the best rapper is a white guy, the best golfer is a black guy, the tallest guy in the NBA is Chinese, the Swiss hold the America's Cup, France is accusing the USA of arrogance and the Germans don't want to go to war.

"Think for yourself. Question authority. Throughout human history, as our species has faced the frightening, terrorizing fact that we do not know who we are, or where we're going in this ocean of chaos, it has been the authorities: the political, the religious, the educational authorities, who have attempted to comfort us by giving us order, rule, regulations. Informing, forming in our minds an inner view of reality. To think for yourself you must question authority and learn how to immerse yourself in a state of vulnerable open-mindedness-- chaotic, confused vulnerability to which you owe yourself. Think for yourself. Question authority."
- Timothy Leary

Somewhere I have heard this before. In a dream my memory has stored. As defense I'm neutered and spayed. What the hell am I tryin to say?

- Mouse - The Matrix

What you know you can't explain, but you feel it. You've felt it your entire life, that there's something wrong with the world. You don't know what it is, but it's there, like a splinter in your mind, driving you mad.<
- Morpheus - The Matrix

There is a difference between knowing the path and walking the path.

- Doc - Back to the Future

I live my life a quarter mile at a time, nothing else matters, for those ten seconds or less, I'm free. (Yes, the movie sucks, but I like the quote)
- Dom - Fast and the Furious

If I had a world of my own, everything would be nonsense. Nothing would be what it is because everything would be what it isn't. And contrary-wise; what it is it wouldn't be, and what it wouldn't be, it would. You see?
- Alice, Alice in Wonderland

Alice:But I don't want to go among mad people. Cheshire Cat: Oh you can't help that, most everyone is mad here. (He laughs and then sighs) As you may have noticed, I'm not all there myself...
- Alice in Wonderland

It would be so nice if something made sense for a change.
- Alice, Alice in Wonderland

24 hours in a day, 24 beers in a case. Coincidence?

When I read about the evils of drinking, I gave up reading.
- Henny Youngman

The problem with some people is that when they aren't drunk they're sober.
- William Butler Yeats

Fill with mingled cream and amber, I will drain that glass again. Such hilarious visions clamber Through the chambers of my brain. Quaintest thoughts--queerest fancies, Come to life and fade away: What care I how time advances? I am drinking ale today.
- Edgar Allan Poe

We are not enemies, but friends. We must not be enemies. Though passion may have strained it must not break our bonds of affection. The mystic chords of memory, stretching from every battlefield and patriot grave to every living heart and hearthstone all over this broad land, will yet swell the chorus of the Union, when again touched, as surely they will be, by the better angels of our nature.
- Abraham Lincoln (and Danny, Amer. Hist X)

lie in comfort of sweet calamity with nothing left to lose like in the darkness, i'm slowly drowned to sleep nothing left to lose three tears i've saved for you i'd retrace the steps that lead me here but nothing lives behind me so i lie in this field bathed in the light that loves me with nothing left to lose.

As I read the obituaries I find God, the heavenly father has recently passed. No services will be held, even though his next of kin scored quite an inheritance. And as I look up at the television, I change the channel from a cola commercial to find that, on channel 9, they have Jesus cornered, and it appears that he has a hostage. I say a prayer to myself and find it was fulfilled...sniper got him before he could hurt anyone.

The meaning of my total existence involves knowing the possibilities of my future as well as my past, where i'm going as well as where i've been.

I fear that I am ordinary, just like everyone. To lie here and die among the sorrorws, adrift among the days. For everything I ever said, and everything I've ever done is gone and dead. As all things must surely have to end.

Video games don't ruin kids. If Pac-Man ruined us as kids, we would all be running around in darkened rooms, eating magic pills and listening to repetitive electronic music.

To The New Guy
In is down, down is front
Out is up, up is back
Off is out, on is in
And of course-
Left is right and right is left
A drop shouldn't and a
Block and fall does neither
A prop doesn't and
A cove has no water
Tripping is OK
A running crew rarely gets anywhere
A purchase line buys you nothing
A trap will not catch anything
A gridiron has nothing to do with football
Strike is work (In fact a lot of work)
And a green room, thank god, usually isn't
Now that you're fully versed in Theatrical terms,
Break a leg.
But not really.

The day turns to night as she meanders along. The clouds roll in like freight trains arriving late to an important stop. The full force of their magnitude pours down onto the sandy path. The sun is gone. If the moon and the night had their way, the sun would never rise again. No longer does the light dance, mud squishes between her toes. Her feet are black, bloodstained bits of crimson.
- Whitney

Our lager, which art in barrels, Hallowed be thy drink. Thy will be drunk, at home as in the tavern. Give us this day our foamy head And forgive us our spillage As we forgive thos who spill against us. And lead us not to incarceration But deliver us from hangover. For thine is the beer, the bitter, and the lager. Amen.

The gates of manhood are guarded by the demons of men's souls, and those demons differ for each man. That is the test of manhood; to find what those demons are, and then to slay them. That is the only way the gates can be made to open.

17 seconds of compassion
17 seconds of peace
17 seconds to remeber love is the energy behind which all is created
17 seconds to remember all that is good
17 seconds to forget all your hurt and pain
17 seconds of faith
17 seconds to trust you again
17 seconds of radiance
17 seconds to send a prayer up
17 seconds is all you really need
